Default New Mexico Places To Bet Simulcast??

Does anyone know of any place other than The Downs in Albuquerque NM to bet simulcast. If possible some place in the city limits.....with all the casino action out here I was shocked that the racino movement was not very visible.

The Downs was just an ashtray with a roped off section for no smoking as about as far away from ciggies as you were going to get.

They force you to check your computer at the door for whatever reason and just seem downright testy toward horseplayers though they are a live track. Kinda like a bad version of Laurel if that's possible. Anybody from the board live out here. I am working out here through next Friday...

Go to eqidaily.com and toward the bottom on the right hand side it has a track OTB finder. Six places come up including the site you have been to, not familiar with NM so maybe that will help.

Ruidoso has a great OTB style betting Parlor and Santa Fe has one at the casino there.

When I use to work in Durango, Co, I sometimes visted a small track in Farmington NM called Sun Ray Park (Racino). 5 miles down the road is the hometown of Chip Woolley

Ruidoso is in the southeast part of new mexico, up in the mountains. long ways from Phoenix also.didnt read your post too well and see you want to stay in the albuquerque area. think thats the only place in town. not like Phoenix where we have an OTB everywhere in town and no racinos yet.

The Alb. otb is about the most no frills place you could ever visit. It is just a bunch of old tv's of varing sizes and makes stacked on some old industrial warehouse shelving. I would bet they acquire the tv's at the flea market which is adjacent to the track. I usually park at the racino when I go to the flea market because I would rather take the $4.00 they want me to pay to park for the flea market (which up until 6 months ago was free) and go in and place a small wager. Besides your vehicle doors won't get beat up at the racino because they have plenty of parking.
If you want to visit a cpl of nice Casinos I recommend Sandia or Isleta. Sandia is worth going just to check out the architecture of the place. It's a very cool design. As for the smoking, typical N.M. Usually smokers have to walk through the non-smoking areas to get to smoking areas. Gee, it's only 50', no need to put my cigarette out.
