You should have see him today... 2 minute licking in middle of the Spa main, and tries to tear after a worker that came inside of him and the rail. Gallop boy was standing up on the dashboard trying to hold him. Was great...

Nice shots Steve - great to meet you at Saratoga. Harold Carmichael is quite a character - pretty full of himself and plenty playful. Can't wait to see him at the races. Hope you had a safe trip back.

Really enjoyed the pics especially the one of him looking through the wire window like some kind of prisoner lol - THANKS MUCH !

Miscellaneous Query: Wondered why Redboard King is listed in pedigreequery.com but there's no Harold Carmichael ??? Was also able to put Redboard King in Equibase stable mail, no success with Harold

The reason it isn't in the registry is that we didn't receive a letter of permission from Harold Carmichael himself, so the name is not official. (Harold himself was fine with having a horse named for him, but his business manager wanted a whole explanation of the concept.) So, instead, three versions were sent in Friday:

HAYROLL CARMICHAEL;

HAYROLD CARMICHAEL;

HERALD CARMICHAEL.

Should know in a few days which way it goes...

Would be nice if we could keep the name. He was a good playa.
