Attention Derby Trailers
I think we really need to sit down and think for a second about how lucky we are to have this forum. Steve has done a bang up job in setting this place up. He has put in countless hours and many $$$'s to get this up and running. Some people have been around since the inception of the old DT board and some have made their way over from the ESPN board. Some people in here are fairly new as well. In addition to the hours and $$ Steve has put into this, he continues to bust his ass at the BBQ and has many other things going as well. He ALSO finds the time to handicap a great majority of the cards and has put out many selections that have made some people some money. In no way, shape, or form did he put me up to this, but I think the LEAST we can do is support Steve and purchase a Derby Trail hat. That is what is gonna help him pay for this site. Even if you don't wear a hat, buy 1 or 2 or 3 and give them away to your horse racing buddies.
This place is clearly the best forum on the net and I for one want it to be around for a long time. Please do your part in helping that happen. Thanks again for everything Stevo. GPK

I agree with GPK. How do I go about ordering a hat? I'll toss it into my rotation and rock it part time at Duquesne along with my Pirates, Point Given, and SF Giants headwear...

i tell ya what...soon as i know whether hubby is going to be employed much longer (hopefull he doesn't get laid off) i'll buy one. not much of a hat person, but i will be a supporter of this place. it's definitely worth it!!
besides, like they say, if you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter....

He has em at the Carolina but believe me he has NO time right now. Wait till the Spa ends and I suspect he will be ready. The guy is unbelievable to do all he does.
The hats are cool though!!!! and try the pork 'samiches' HEY I"M EATING OVER HERE!

I was on the old forum, i really like reading alot of your post.I have learned a great deal from alot of you. i HAve also learned not to play against buffy in contest! I would like to order a hat also, I know Steve does a fantastic job! we need more people like him! keep up the good work.

Without question all so true. I still am embaressed my by drunk rant a couple months back against him and this board and the "other stuff" but it appears it has been forgiven. This is the only place to be if you is a horse racing person.
Is it not obvious that Steve and Mike and the gang are not first class when you read the first hand accounts from folks who have gone to The Spa and come back raving about the experience? Tonight I am depressed, I must admit. A couple months ago all plans were set for me to leave tomorrow afternoon for The Spa, but then my personal demons once again got in the way. No bigee, but tonight it hurts. Cause I know that when I meet these cats in person it will form a friendship that will last a lifetime. Come November at Churchill I hope some of them are in person and I will meet, untill then I will think about what could have been. Anyways, I got a big weekend planned for Florence, Ky and Louisville, Ky. All packed into Saturday and Sunday. Can't wait. I need to order a hat. CP
