Default Rail Trip and Overconfident Ride by Valdivia

Rail Trip won by a nose over a strong closing Dakota Phone. Was sure expecting a bigger margin of victory for this hyped horse.

Valdivia still maintained his hand ride while Dakota Phone was closing -- what's up with that?

Looked like Valdivia's complacency in the deep stretch was going to get him nipped. Would've loved it had Bejarano's charge gotten up.

after doing that, he deserved to get beat, nothing worse than jockeys trying to save something, just ride the horse for atleast a sixteenth of a mile

Bejarano loves doing stuff like this. Loves to get guys in trouble, and catch them being a lil lazy. That smile shouldn't fool anyone. He's got a ton of energy, too. If he can catch Valdivia or Solis being lazy, he will show no mercy.

Everyone is missing the other piece to this story. In the very next race, Valdivia ran a first time starter for the same owners and trainer, and it paid 49bucks!! I would imagine that Mr. Ellis had a few choice words for Jose after the Rail Trip race and before the next one.
