![]() After the retirement in September of Craig Donnelly, handicapper of 37 years at the Inquirer, the paper is on the edge of insolvency. Not direct cause and effect to be sure, but I know I have less reason than ever to read that paper. I can only assume, even if the paper survives, that the Triple Crown coverage will be skeletal if not non-existent.

![]() The Inquirer's been dead for a while now, comical actually. The Daily News is a glorified sports page with good headlines. The only thing we have to look forward to is Dick Jerardi's (he also has a hell of a grip on college basketball)columns around the TC or if an area horse has a buzz around him/her.
