I'm pulling for the Ridgling.

Seriously, High Finance might have a chance here.

I have no clue... when you look up High Blues on pedigreequery, it says that he's a colt. That's a good question because I haven't seen very many ridglings (not on thoroughbreds anyway.)

If Bright One is half as good as I have been told repeatedly, he wins this race like Bernardini won his Jim Dandy, and then the two decide who the best 3yr old is in the Travers.

Yeah, they mark it as an r. noticed it on last year's Haskell winner all the time because I was dead set to lose most of my 2005 pennies on him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the biggest problem with ridglings tends to be the irritation, right? Wasn't that why they gelded Funny Cide? (Or am I thinking of someone else...?). I'm sure the boys can still swim upstream -- there just might be less of a crowd.

You think you are SO damn funny. LMAO

In the case of a ridgling, one (or both actually) of the testes doesn't descend. A LOT of Paso Fino breeders will (instead of gelding), remove one of the testes because it supposedly calms down a stallion. Bullshiat if you ask me, but whatever.

Roman Ruler was a ridgling, if I'm not mistaken. Undescended boy.

I am wondering after the title of this thread, has GPK ever seen a card he didn't like? I'm pretty certain you could sit this guy at Sam Houston 365 days a year and he'd find something to play.

if the undescended one is not removed it can be painful and impair performance...most of the time they do the surgury...or just cut them altogether...I believe AP Indy is a rig for those that dont' know
