Default TwinSpires: LA residents

Does anyone know why LA residents get to bet tracks like Churchill and Calder online, but everyone else can't? Just curious. TS just picked up LA residents so this has to be within their agreement.

Scav I just got A reponse from Twinspires took them all of 45 minutes to get back to me.

I Quote "LA Residents are allowed to bet on Churchill and Calder because Fairgrounds previously had a different deal with the tracks and we carried that over for our LA Customers.

Thanks, Kate

twinspires is officially a joke. What do they offer that youbet doesn't? Laurel? come on, i've pretty much given up on that place, other then their cool tv's that take up a ton of bandwith i don't see much reason to switch. I played a little there this summer for arlington but that was about it, them not taking wagers in SA other then BC days was my last straw

I'm not totally sure about ALL the details...but this has something to do with the fact that Twinspires just absorbed the long standing FGnetbet.

Actually they did a pretty good job doing it, passwords, accounts, etc. all stayed the same it's just that now it's on the TS platform and FGnetbets no longer exists. CD/FG owns all the OTB's in southeast LA so therefore would allow betting on all CD properties.

But I am still confused as to why it applies to all LA residents, and why it would apply to the their ADW service with the KY horseman withholding the signal to ADW's out of state even though we are CDI properties.
I'll see if I can find the letter I was sent.

FG Fan I use them all the time and have no complaints I emailed them yesterday about this LA Residents deal and they responded to me within the hour. There customer service has always been top notch when dealing with myself. Plus I love the Green Dot feature when making deposits.

Oh yea and Twinspires TV is awsome.

But it really boils down to a personel choice.

Default I like TS, but the ADW situation pisses me off....

they act like it's a mystery why the Keeneland handle is down 17%.

I just don't wager nearly as often having to get on the phone....but twinspires has always been pretty responsive if I have any issues, mess up a bet...whatever

I love their conditional bet wager... no more betting a 7/2 shot on the morning line before I go to work, come home and see that he lost at 4/5 then pull my hair out yelling "There's no way I would have bet him at 4/5!!!!!!!!"

in theory it sounds like a good idea. The one time i used that feature i set it to the price of 4-1 on a horse, needless to say horse lost and went to the gate at 7-2, money gone. I had to call customer service and explain my bet, and how 4-1 is higher then 7-2 in order to get my funds back..... it just seems like more of a hassel then what its worth

Thanks Round Pen, I did see the post where they responded to you.

FGnetbet was mainly a phone in service, so you were calling it into the OTB, maybe that's why we are getting CD.
I didn't use it alot but it sure helped out on those busy days at the FG when people are putting in 14 10 cent supers and you can't get on a machine.
I'm looking forward to checking it out and I think it adds to my TS club points.
The FG opens 2 weeks from Friday, booked my boxes for the season today.....Woo-Hoo live racing.......

BT your problem is very easy to figure out you set your cond bet at 4-1 then you have to set a time when you want your bet to take place 1 min to post 2 min to post and so on. more than likely your bet went in at 1 min to post and at the time you horse was 4-1 or higher.then when the horse went to post he was 7/2 . I think were you have overlooked is your cond bet does not go to post time.

personally I have had that happen a couple of times plus I always set my bets for 1 min to post best I can remember the last time it happened to me was I believe i set my bet at 5/2 horse wound up going off a 2/1 but my bet went through because at 1 min to post he was 5/2

Did you have multiple accounts before Lisa Madigan started enforcing laws that haven't been passed yet?

I can't get an account with anyone else because I live in the People's Republic of Illinois.

I don't have a problem with TwinSpires but I can't use anyone else.

I didn't bet any track that was (TO) telephone only
