Default Need to vent...

... Normally I really, really like Salon.com's articles, but this one on Barbaro was most annoying...

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/08/01/barbaro/

Am I the only person who gets irritated with the "poor helpless animals" line of thinking because it seems that, for all of the intended concern for racehorses, that non-racing people seem to think horses are stupid? I got into it a bit with one of the letter writers on Salon's site, who thinks that jockeys are the only athletes involved in the sport...

Well...Sally Whatever needs to learn a bit more about the sport before writing about it...and no, I feel the same way!

I think Sally needs to learn responsible journalism.

Thanks, guys; I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was a crummy piece. Poo on Sally.

I'm not sure what else you would expect from Salon, I used to read it daily and now haven't been there for at least 2 years.
