Default Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe

Well I thought it was (finally) time for it to have a thread instead of going to and fro on the Snow Fairy and Japan threads...

Weather watch for Snow Fairy...

http://www.setanta.com/ien/Articles/...c/gnid-155707/

Decision should be here first...

http://www.edunlop.com/index.php

For Orfevre updates...

http://japanracing.jp/en/index.html

THE site, of course...

http://www.france-galop.com/index.php?id=1&L=1

How the field is shaping up...

http://www.skybet.com/horse-racing/f...dcmp=sl_rg_nav

I picked Orfevre to win the Arc back at the beginning of January on the predictions thread and I'll stick by that IF Snow Fairy swerves it. If not, not sure but she was never definite anyway.

Who have you been hoping for / looking forward to / are you interested in?

Can't wait!

shaping up to be a great race. hopefully it will live up to expectations. it's cool to have two mares in the race that will be among the favorites. pulling for orfevre all the way.

Well, that was a surprise.

The track seemed extremely rain-affected - 1:44 for the mile and 2:37 for the Arc were slow times, and a lot of horses really looked like they were struggling in it. That was the slowest Arc since 1999, and it was more than 13 seconds slower than Danedream ran last year.

But that was an incredible late surge by Solemia after she looked beaten.
