In that part of the world, to lie is like to itch yourself. Russians lie a lot, and the Serbs lie even more.

It probably was what managed to secure Biden - and the massive 1,800 votes he racked up in the primary - the VP nomination.

Yeah but that is a pretty big lie! Hopefully nobody in this country is dumb enough to believe him... but saying that there are a TON of dumb people here... just think how many people believe Michael Moore!

Dubbya must have said something stupid when he was over there and it got misinterpreted... it wouldn't be the first time -

I understand their confusion, we've been living it for years

Putin is brain damaged.
Or he is really looking to further
Russia from anything Western.
And that is frightening.

i don't think russia has ever considered itself as anything other than Eastern. they really have an interesting history, and have always been a fairly closed society, hostile to foreigners. perhaps one day they'll outgrow it....but i doubt it.

Technology has made this almost impossible.
I guess its time to get creative and create problems
to hide internal failure. I find it disturbing.

No actually he is very sharp. He puts the conspiricy theory out there in his own attempt to manipulate the US election. He is basically saying that Bush wanted war because McCain appears to be more qualified than Obama in dealing with military matters. Putin most assuredly want Obama in as president simply because he would be far easier for them to manipulate and work around than a hawk would. The poultry ban is really the best story here. I am doubting that there even is a Russian poultry import inspector.
