![]() Race 2 - #7 Fieldstone - Had a trip in his debut (slow start, very wide) and made a nice little closing move. That race has produced some next out winners. . . Added distance should be to his advantage and he should be more seasoned than the firsters.
Betting to win at 8-1+ and boxing with the 3 and 4. Race 5 - #10 Just as Well - 2-for-2 since returning from the extended lay-off. His turf debut was nice - he closed into pretty soft fractions and won going away - and he's certainly bred to like the lawn: his dam is a G1 turf winner and 1/2 to E Dubai who was a good dirt horse and who throws turf winners. 2nd dam was also a SW. This is a definite step up in class, but this may be an improving horse who will continue to get better with more turf starts. Doesn't hurt that Sheppard has won with three nice prices (one jumper) this meet. Betting to win at 8-1+ Race 8 - #2 Go Go Bar - Turns back and takes a class drop after battling on the front end in a stakes. Should be fit, appreciate the return to sprinting, and looks like she's training very well. Smaller win bet at 6-1+ |
