Default Monmouth Pick 4 Carry Over

I went to Monmouth Yesterday and the Late Pick 4 was unhittable. Actually no one had 4 of 4 in the late pick 4. Apparently they pay a consolation for 3 of 4 but and carry over the remainder of the pool.

The results looked like this:

Travolta - $21.40
Fagedaboutdsal - $80.40
Truth Rules - $35.80
Bold Survivor - $5.20

Total Pool - $33,791
C/O Pool - $21,484
3 correct - $198.90

My questions is which Pick 4 does this carry over to the early or the late? My instinct tells me the late pick 4 but does any one know for sure?

I figured I would take a stab at it since there is some free $ on the table but I wanted to make sure I play the right Pick 4.

THE ANSWER PER MONMOUTH'S WEB SITE IS TEH EARLY PICK 4.

"The carryover of $21,483 will be added to the pool for Sunday's early Pick 4, which starts with race two."

Good call herk.

Not sure about the pic 4, but the 50 cent pic five also has a carry(17,400), my instinct tells me the pic 4 carry would be the early 4

I didn't see anything about it on the Monmouth site. That was a hell of a time to play my first ever pick 4. More frustrating too when my wife had the winners in the 8th and 9th because she liked the names.

Considering that Monmouth's Pick 4 takeout is already only 15%, this might be one of the best multi-race bets you can make all year.

According to Monmouth Park's website, the $21,000 carryover will be added to the pool for today's early pic-4.

Agree, I'm playing it and I didn't intend on playing anything today. Very good sequence, however the scratch of Forest of Dreams throws a monkey wrench in my handicapping plans.

The 8 in the 4th opens as the 5/2 favorite off a 15-1 ML (0-10 career), drifts up to 12-1, then is allowed a 4 length uncontested lead. What a joke.
