Point Determined Listed in Friday's Calder Entries

Point Determined, who I thought was long retired, showed up in Calder's entries for Friday (Race 9) with Kirk Ziadie listed as the trainer. I am pretty sure it is the same horse since he is listed as a 5-year old Maryland-bred.

I do not think this horse has raced since 2006, when as a 3-year old trained by Bob Baffert, he finished 9th in the Kentucky Derby, won the Grade 3 Affirmed, and finished second in both the Santa Anita Derby and San Felipe Stakes.

Did he have fertility problems and was unretired ? Definitely have to root for this horse on Friday.

He was sold last fall as a "racing or breeding" prospect, for $100k. I think that the intent was to stand him at stud in So. America, not sure what country. I guess the deal fell through.
I'm not sure if he went to SA and shot blanks or if he was not popular or if he's been in the US all along.
