Default Golden Gate Fields not on TVG?

Just realizing that we apparently are not seeing GGF on TVG?

No biggie, but I had hoped to see Vicarino run in the 8th today. The same Aleo-Gilchrist connections as Lost in the Fog. He's now a 4 year old and in the the $75,000 stakes race with the 7 year old Bonfante and the SoCal import Black Seventeen.

Not a serious betting race, but thought it would be on, just the same.

Guess I'll wait for the calracing.com replay...

Presuming HRTV is a direct TV or pay option in some places?

TVG is standard on our digital package with Comcast here.

I have Direct TV and HRTV is not even an option. They just don't carry it. I do get TVG and it's wonderful coverage of Los Al.

Thanks, all.

Caught the replay on calracing.com

Bonfante, over Black Seventeen over Vicarino.

Good race.

I really do like those silks of Harry Aleo. Always the easiest horse to follow...

comcast in Chicago has both now... but they're on the sports tier (which I've had for a while).

I noticed that DISH dropped the NFL Network from their basic packages. The Sunday ticket would be nice to have, but the way I see it, I'd rather be able to see HRTV year round than 17 Sundays of NFL games. If there's an NFL game I want to see, I can just go to a sports bar to watch it.

DISH is pretty cheap also. I only pay $39/month and get both racing channels as well as all the regional Fox sportsnets.

Why would you want such pain at such a price? Snyder killed this team years ago darling no need to see such carnage live.

Even though TVG does not show Golden Gate on their telecast, they do show it live on their streaming video on-line and they do take bets on it.

I have to say, I spent the day at Golden Gate on Thursday, and I was really impressed. The Turf Club was awesome, and all of the track was nice and very clean. I actually go to go back to the barn area, which seemed pretty nice, although I don't have a great deal of experience in various barn areas, but it did seem pretty good.

Plus, the view out the back of the track into the bay, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge, was amazing.

It was a good day, and they really impressed me out there in San Fran...

I would rather be waterboarded than go to a sports bar to watch anything. A gathering of loud, obnoxious, complete morons, dressed in their fav. team gear, screaming at a tv in case their team can actually hear them through the tv. No thanks.

If you think that's bad, try one of the large Las Vegas sportsbooks, where not only are they loud, obnoxious and dressed in the favorite team gear, but they also have money on the games. No thanks.

I've spent literally hundreds of days at Golden Gate Fields. I always liked it, but bring a jacket. As soon as that sun gets behind the grandstand and you're sitting in the shade, that wind off the bay can be very cold. A great view of the East Bay hills from the grandstand too.

TVG and HRTV on Verizon FiOS TV channels 315 and 316. I love having both.

Aren't all MAGNA tracks on HRTV with GG being one? Who consistently carries Woodbine though in this country?

i think we have every channel they offer, so i still have nfl network. i usually listen to the redskins on internet-they have a radio station link on their website, for those weeks when they aren't on t.v.

but yeah, i don't mind giving up a few games on tv for both racing channels.
