Default Ground loss on FG turf

Seems completely meaningless the past few days. Jocks going out of their way to avoid the inside....kind of reminds me of around last T-Giving at Churchill were the inside was mud and the outer paths were better. Wonder how the Sheet-heads will tackle these. I would downgrade any "4 wide moves" made over the FG course recently.

Where've you been the meet?

Wire jobs or stalk and pounces and suckup up trips are exceptions on the turf at FG. Last movers have been winning all meet. You don't want to have the lead turning for home.

For what it's worth, it's one of the more difficult turf courses to gauge out there BUT it's FAIR. Can't say that about too many others.

In the meantime, the turf course has looked like El Nino hasn't hit in 10 years for over a month now. Is FG located in a desert?

I'm not just talking about speed; I'm talking about all styles; saving ground isn't the answer there. It wasn't that way all meet, but you're right, the turf looks really tore up and in need of water (ironic?). Imagine saying that about the FG turf two years ago?

The inside has been badly chewed up over the meet, esp during the "monsoon" season in January. The "last best move" has been the traditional way to win on the FG turf, over the past 10 years at least.
