![]() I have a couple of ideas for a book. One of my favorite books is called "Tales From The Dugout." The book contains humorous short stories about baseball players. I thought it would be a great idea if we all collaborated our best stories about track. I am talking about bad beats, teller confusion, funny people at the track, self betting machine problems etc etc. I have three stories. One where a deer ran onto the track at Turfway and it caused my horse to lose. Another is at Turfway, my horse was winning and right at the finishin line the horse turned its head to bite the other hose and I lose by a nose. And the 3rd is when a self betting machine allowed me to wager on a Calder race after the results were posted. Of course I didnt get to cash the ticket - lol.
The 2nd book could be our unique handicapping angles. We have people on here that know how to handicap New York, Kentucky, Florida, Illinois and California. We could talk about the tractor path, speed at Churchill when the rail is up ion turf etc etc. I think we could make a little money on this. Any thoughts? |
