weird, in my opinion its wide open but it seems chalky to me... im going 4 deep in the pick 3's and 4's with the same 4 being....1,3,9,11... i know the 11 is 15-1 but i think he will be bet.

Why would this appear chalky? It's some terrific betting race with only a few crossouts and any of the potential 10-1 types are capable of winning or being involved in the decision... In fact, among ML choices Stream of Gold, Silver Whistle and True Cause, none look particularly overwhelming.

Stream of Gold feels like a horse that has done more in the U.S. than he has, and I'm personally getting tired of expecting the breakthrough performance. That said, he has to be used here.

O'Callahan's Ascertain tailed off badly after a strong year at age 6, and has clearly been working at a private facility for this return. He fired fresh at Remington in October, is 12-1 with potential to get lost on the board and will be forwardly placed in what should be a moderately paced affair. If close to his form in the Elkhorn (12f, KEE, Gr. III) last spring, he looks like the right value player.

1. #9 Stream of Gold 3-1
2. #5 Ascertain 12-1
3. #7 Big Prairie 15-1
4. #1 Silver Whistle 4-1

We'll see. I thought his horse yesterday was garbage and he won by open lengths. Something about his horses at Gulfstream....

Be forewarned... in the 7th at GP today at anything better than 2/1 I'm betting Matz's Political Nonsense.

Big Prarie is scratched
#14 draws in

No speed to speak of in this race, I agree with the above this is a good betting race as the likely favorites in here are not overwhelming. My only worry is my horse needs some pace in here.

For that I like Big Cougar , ran a nice race in the GP Hdcp from 10 post though he did get a good trip. In a field of of no standouts and unreliable favorites I'll give him a tap today.

I agree with your analysis Steve. Assuming O'Callaghan has him ready to fire off the bench I think Ascertain may be the one to gun down mid-stretch.

Either they get the Energy drink or are in a hurry to see the hotties at the beach bar. On a serious note I think the Late P4 at GP pays Box cars today. Some wide open affairs.
