![]() The republican nomination will probably be over by March 11th or after Pennsylvania on April 22nd... but then again possibly not.
But there's no way that the Democrats will have made a firm decision by then and that means thousands of Democrat activists descending on Indiana and Kentucky in late April/early May. The Kentucky primary is 2 1/2 weeks after the Derby but the Indiana one is on May 6. Surely not good timing and I hope the Derby doesn't get swamped by all of this and that canvassing inside the racetrack is strictly forbidden. The racetrack is a place where we should all be able to go to get away from the outside world-as I pointed out to those people from both sides who annoyed the hell out of me in the week of the 2000 Breeders' Cup

![]() i went a few years ago. giacomo won. i just hope they're not like the guy that threw a bible around and screamed that we were all going to hell because of the gambling ,drinking and scantily dressed women. it was hilarious walking in. if it happened up here i think he would of been escorted to MHU. i love the infield!
