Is this just freak weather they have been experiencing in the So Cal area, or could have all this rain over the past month been expected?

I was over there early last March and it didn't look like it had rained for many, many months.

I think last year was extra-dry.We haven't gotten much rain today, but won't be surprised if some races taken off turf.

Every few years the El Niño gives them buckets of rain. I don't know if this is an El Niño year. I lived in So Cal during the El Niño in winter/spring 1983 and it seemed like it rained everyday.
