![]() Here is the kind of thing that
happens in a democracy: Sari Bashi, director of an Israeli advocacy group, Gisha, which was part of the court case, said that “this is part of a stop-start game that continually pushes Gazan residents to the brink, pushing them over, then pulling them back temporarily.” She said that “for the last seven months, Israel has been slowly reducing Gaza residents to desperation.” This is an Israeli group, not Hamas, responding to their country cutting off Gaza. This group in Israel is not popular with the residents along the border with Gaza who get shelled everyday by Hamas. But they are allowed to speak and file a court case in the Israeli Supreme Court. And the Israeli government actually has to listen. So now that Hamas has control of Gaza, does anyone think a motion will be filed to stop shooting rockets across the border so that Israel will open up completely? Does anyone think an organization within Hamas, will protest and insist that Israel be recognized? No more confusion over the difference between democracies and terrorists. Hamas uses the residents of Gaza suffering to keep supplies open so they can bring in more rockets. |
