Default NYRA content deals: HRTV/TrackNet/Xpressbet

this could be the death blow for tvg if not already. unless they quit the exclusive crap and they all share.

Exclusivity ending... Content spread really starting to gain momentum... TrackNet/XpressBet part of the picture obviously as well.. TVG/YouBet continue though too.

NYRA said it had reached a similar non-exclusive agreement with TVG for 2008. Hayward called TVG the "key venue" for NYRA because it has the broadest distribution

yeah he says its a key venue so tvg doesn't feel **** on. broadest distribution surely not to bet on, tvg has only a handful of states compared to xpressbet. and i wouldn't call tvg a broad distribution when dishnetwork is gaining more customers everyday then direct tv. and if by broad distribution they mean the fox sport channels, thats only a couple hours a day and never a full card.

yeah i think tvg with the money they saved on letting the churchill tracks let go thought they would use that to outbid hrtv on exclusive rights to nyra.

since tvg always gave ny tracks full attention even when they were ignoring other races that were going off and could have showed them.

tvg prob thought since they treated there tracks so well with coverage on tvg , that nyra would show some form of loyalty come contract time, but surprise surprise. nyra had to do what was best for nyra and i think it took tvg by surprise when they found out hrtv would also be carrying nyra.

I think it is more monkey see / monkey do. California started this and others are following it. Who would have thought that the more people that can wager on your track, means more money?

They don't have exculsive on Hollywood either, California mandated that all ADW's had access

No idea, but even I have never wagered on that crap. If you can't get me wagering on it, then it probably isn't a good idea

Hollywood, Keeneland and Del Mar. In other words, if you have HRTV, you never have a reason to tune into TVG again and see them shamelessly touting an endless array of P4 tickets.
