Default What's Your Best Bet of the Day? 7/12

We should have one of these every day in here.

Can be short, can be long. Whatever everyone feels like. Only 1 play.

Race 1 Belmont- # 1 Second in Command - why the tag with Saratoga looming and the horse loves it there. That I don't know, but I do know I like him a lot in this spot. No early rain and it stays on....Somebody lend me 50k and I'll claim him myself.

LOL Randy, you dont need a loan, thats pocket change for you!
This is the horse that set and broke his own track record at Saratoga last summer. Went off at very juicy prices too. Wouldnt be a shocker, I think he goes to post as the favorite.

How about Blakelock? If ever a race sets up for him its today. Should get a perfect mid pack trip behind Stormy and Seeking. I think hes the one to beat and will offer value.

I'll make Gold and Roses my best bet of the day today. Like Bush was quoted as saying, this is definetely the time to try and beat a horse like Commentator. I think he will. Sits a perfect trip behind Commentator and Bold Decision and runs by with ease for the win.

I'll take the #1 Bold Decision over #6 Gold and Roses boxed over #2 Commentator in race 2.
#1 to win.

He's 2-1 ML. Definitely not a price play for me but a straight win bet I can feel comfortable with at those odds. I've bet Blakelock the last two times and he burned my money up. Of course the change to Contessa might make a difference. Tough to know.

The 8th race at Hollywood, Itsallgreektou (ML 7/2), came in 2nd in his first race and the 3rd place horse in that one came back to win his next... should improve on second start and has good speed.

New York Breeders must be proud of those fillies in that 4th race death march.

Scuds- You have a scary infatuation with our NY breds. No one pays them more attention than you and your 3,000 miles away.

Don't mind Scuds.

He continues to be afraid to admit that Cal-breds suck just as badly as NY-breds.

Yeah,I do my best to stay clear of them.Call them Thoroughbreds, but those New York maidens mainly run like Arabians. What did the winning filly run for 6f? 1:13.65? the rest are running 1:15-1:18(ARABIAN- LIKE.)

This is what the NY trainers play before they saddle their NY state breds...

"Lose yourself in the music and moment, own it, you only get one shot, do not miss your chance and blow it, an opportunity comes only once."

Didn't get to watch the race. Apparently he didn't show too much but that is a smart claim by Dutrow. He's another horse at the Spa.

Randall, He looked dead awful the first half of the race and made a mild non threatening gain in the stretch to get 3rd. Passed a lot of tired horses but thats about it. I agree, nice claim for 50K. Dutrow apparently has Saratoga in mind for him.

Tim are you gonna give Symphony of Psalms props for winning nicely today after you started a thread bashing the hell out of her the last time she ran? LOL!

LOL, okay props away on frankels Sympthomy of Psalms. Kevin just called me and told me he had that horse. he used 4 horses in the pick 4 and they ran
1-2-3-4 and the superfecta paid over 4 grand. Kevin didnt bet the superfecta but he did nail the winner.
He needs the Baby Bird to win the 8th.
