![]() I was looking back at last year's pre-entry racing form with all of the past performances. I was noticing the part where the list the winning Beyer figures from all of the past BC races and the average winning figure for each year. I wanted to look and see how this year's competitors stack up to the average winners.
The figures are going into but not including last year's numbers. With each race, I'm going to list the winning average along with the contenders from this year that have reached or passed that average. Also note that there are no winning Beyer's listed for the first four years of the BC. Sprint-114 Midnight Lute-124 Benny the Bull-119 High Finance-115 Note that the two high figures came in the same race, at 7f, and that High Finance earned his at 8f. Distaff-109 none I believe Hystericalady is the only one that's even gotten as high as 105. Classic-118 Lawyer Ron-119 Lawyer Ron (119,117,114), Curlin (114,111), Street Sense (111,110) and Any Given Saturday (113,110) are the only likely contenders for the race that have even reached 110 this year. Mile-111 none Turf-112 none F/M Turf-108 Royal Highness-108 Irridescence-108 Note that the two high figures came in the same race, at 9.5f
