Default Kuntzweiler gets sentenced

What's the chances of her getting her license back someday? And should she?

She should be sentenced based on some of the rides she gave.

Default Wow...so much empathy, I'm touched

yes she messed up but unless you've tried to make a living based on your physical and athlethic abilities, and dealt with a painful injury requiring lengthy rehab, and understand how the even a passing relationship with methamphetamine can put your soul in a baggie... seems like a little basic compassion might help everyone's karma...

Anyone checked Guidry's urine sample lately?

Active addiction is responsible for more loss on every level physical and emotional than all other major diseases combined. There is no other disease that is responsible for more destruction and loss of life touching every race, gender, age and social class. If she takes her recovery seriously and not only stays clean but changes every aspect of her life to eliminate the circumstance that put her in that position there is no reason why she shouldn't have her license. P Val has gotten how many chances??

This probably isn't about whether she rides again but whether she beats this and saves her life .....

Was her license taken away because of a bad urine test ? Or was it taken away because she was convicted of a felony ? Was it even taken away at all ?

i never saw that she lost it...seems her riding career went south, so she went to being an exercise rider. and then just went further down hill from there.
shame tho that she still defends hubby dear--she still has some issues there. good thing he'll be in jail!

best of luck to her in her fight to stay clean.

I think we should set up a trust fund, or better yet we could set up a government program that provides funds for all riders hooked on drugs. We are set to have a government program for everything else why not.

I'm with you on this one, doc, and a very good point about PVal. For those who have no sympathy....well, that's your prerogative. Like doc has no doubt seen, I've also seen the ravages drug addiction wreaks. You throw someone away when they have this problem, or, if they're sincere in their desire for recovery, you forgive. No one said second chances don't have to be earned.

As to whether she ever lost her license, this quote from the article I linked above:
"Former jockey Greta Kuntzweiler, sentenced Friday to five years' probation after being convicted in Jefferson Circuit Court on methamphetamine-related charges, said she hopes to regain her racing license and ride again some day."

I mean't to put this out there yesterday but unfortunately ran out of time. If there is anyone in our "little" family here who needs help along these lines I am more than willing to point anyone in need toward the proper resources toward beginning a change of life that CAN be both life changing and life saving.....Send me a confidential private message and I will help in any way I can. A life saved from the ravages of this disease often affects the quality of relationships in entire generations of family.

All inquires are held in the strictest confidence without judgement on any level however working a program that enhances a true recovery is up to the individual.

i may be wrong, but personally i never thought this should be called a 'disease'. cancer is a disease. you choose to use drugs, yet who chooses to get cancer?
