gut feeling blues
This kills me. Everytime Bush wants to bolster his waning influence or push some aspect of his agenda, he (or someone in his administration) trots out the old terrorist bugbear.
Watch out! Chertoff's got a "gut feeling!" Better not let Congress set "artificial" troop withdrawal deadlines because the terrorist are vacationing at your favorite summer getaway spot. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19700127/

i've had gut feelings before. and several times it turn out it was with good reason--BUT i've never really shared those feelings when i had them, and i certainly can't imagine making public policy based on that.
but yeah, the boogeyman is gonna get you-type crap from the white house--it just seems overdone to me at this point. but hey, this guy works for someone who claims he has a mandate straight from heaven--real logical group we're talking about here.
