Default Friday Night at the Wood!!

Already getting excited for tonight. Small fields but very competitive.

The Samples are in concert after the races, wow how far they have fallen.

One I really like is #4 Cape Town King in the 7th - longest shot in the race. 6-1 is a gift. How about Areutalkingtome in for a tag with T. BAZE aboard....Espinoza jumps off after all those mounts to ride the outside horse - speaks volumes. Hope T.BAze has his chin strap tight.

I am now hearing Areutalkingtome will scratch and was entered to fill the race. Explains why Espinoza wasnt named to ride. We shall see if this is true.

You know if this is true then I think it is complete crap. Enter a horse just so the race will be carded then then scratch the horse. Just like yesterday at Los Al - a 7 horse field was cut down to 3 for no apparent reason other than they connections of the scratched horses didnt want to face the big 2.

Hollywoods 6th race is a tuff one to find a winner tonight. I like a second time starter that goes from the inside to the outside, Buck Basolo. Last ran on 5/27 at Hollywood ( Race is worth watching the replay ) and came back to work 48/4 and on 6/17 works 35/4.

I'm on a 3 week break from playing the races ( friends and family in town ) and this one was on my bet back list.

I might try to catch the early double and the rest of the card horizontal with my eyes closed.

First race.

I am looking for every angle possible to not use Charm N Broad. Foley has yet to ride a winner at the meet....he is 0 for 4 riding for Drug O'Neill, but seems the lone speed and speed has been holding in the turf sprints.

Hello Bolly, I am afraid, has broke poorly her last few and if she breaks off slowly again, she is done.

Finally Blonde simply isn't as good as these.

That leaves me with Newport Topper and Itsallgreektou. Greek got a perfect set up last out when facing winners for the first time. Tries the weeds for the first time and trainer is 0 for 12 first turf.

So, I am gonna go with Newport Topper. Got her feet wet last out on the turf for the first time....Gryder stays put and should break well enough to get a trip just off of Charm N Broad.

Early DD will be 2/5,8

Early 4

2,6,7

Lotta Captain Obvious in that sequence. Usually means crinkle-trash can.

Newport Topper missed the break and then was rushed up. Empty in the lane after that.

has Gryder ever won from off the pace?

No, he hasnt. I really liked Newport there....crap

no way the 5 marqz melody should be 8/5 this race is wide open...top picks prob end up the 4 and 7 both of whom should improve on the stretch out. I suppose the 6 could get a good trip behind the 2

I left out the 8 but the more i look at it she may take this weak bunch. 2 is the speed but no way she hangs on...
