Thoroughbred Internet report, impressive Derby winner Authorized has been bought by Sheikh Mohammed’s Darley Stud operation to stand as a stallion from 2008.
The colt has been leased back to the current owners Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar. He will continue to be trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam.

Connections have confirmed they intend to run the horse next in the Group I Coral Eclipse Stakes (2000m) at Sandown Park on 7 July.

Authorized was purchased for 95,000 gns as a foal by Tony Nerses. Consigned by agent Ted Voute at the 2005 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale he was knocked down to Peter Chapple-Hyam for 400,000 gns.

His dam is an unraced half-sister to Gr 3 winner Brooklyn Dance, who produced four black-type performers including French Derby runner-up Prospect Park, and to Krissante, dam of Champion juvenile and first season sire Okawango
