Sounds about right.
I'll take 9/5 and hope for 2-1.

Something funny that was said on the ESPN telecast

Kenny Maybe asked something about Flying First Class to Moss and Moss responded(not exact)

Well Pino can run however he wants because every trainer and jock out here knows that FFC can't get the 1 3/16. So Hard Spun will run like he is not even there.

Also I see that CQ is starting to pick up some support in the advanced betting. Any chance we might see Hard Spun as the fourth choice

Hard Spun will be 2nd choice when all is said and done.

9/5 on Street Sense is a mild surprise....but he will be bet down. He was pounded down when offered at 3/2 odds on Pinnacle yesterday. However, he's risen a bit over the last little bit, and is being offered at 7/5.

I would love to book the 31/1 odds on Mint Slewlip.

If this race was run on a thursday, and only hardened bettors bet the race, he'd be 99/1. As he's never run a figure better than 85, and he was off the board in all three of his career stake attempts (all of which at or below the Grade 3 level)

Street Sense would be 3/5 if this race was run on a thursday, and only hardened betters bet the race.

10-1 at Pinnacle. I wouldn't worry.

I fail to see what was funny about the Moss quote. Moss says some odd things quite often. Two weeks ago he once again criticized the derby entry system w/o offering any sort of alternative. Feh.

KoRox at 18-1 is beginning to look like a bargain.

DrugS ramblings beginning to border on fantasy. You are allright there, DrugS? Medication levels been verified lately?

a lot of support for Circular Quay. So much for that insight. I think I will include Mint Slewep. He and King of the Roxy are the only ones that wil make the Superfecta pay more than $100. Of course that all depends on how far down the fecta they fall.

I'm curious.. how does the race set up for Circular Quay and NOT Street Sense? Are some thinking he will actually out kick Street Sense to the wire?
The rail won't open up for Calvin Borel?

Good luck.. wish I had time to do my picks. Everyone wants a piece of me today

One of those guys (Moss maybe) said Todd Pletcher was the jockey of Panty Raid after the win. Makes me want to bet his selections.

I would take Curlin at 3-1 all day long. As an exacta player, I am curious to see what the exacta will pays for all combinations of SS, Curlin and HS. I would imagine the lowest payout would be about 5 to 1.

Based on the black eyed susan-preakness double, Curlin is going to be the second choice. I bet you get 6-5 on Street Sense, 5-2 on Curlin and 3-1 on Hard Spun.

The exacta ended up being about 11-1 (23.20) which is ridiculous. When I made this bet I decided to put Curlin and Street Sense on top of Curlin, Street Sense and Hard Spun. The total bet for the $2 is $8. So you get almost 3x your money back on the exacta. Needless to say, I basically made a tremendous amount of money on the exacta wager in the Preakness. This was just a tremedous exacta betting race for those of us who love exacta wagering.
