Was it the first or second beer that did you in?

Hard to say.

I started with drinking Jack and Coke's (through a straw...like a homo) ---a little later I was made to do a couple of shots of Jose with a girl I knew from school, and my brother and his fiancee.

Later on, I was pretty much going around and drinking from other peoples drinks and saying "Narh...alchool is a sanitizer." I guess I didn't want to spend anymore....no one kicked my ass for it. Needless to say I puked pretty bad later that night.

Excellent choice. Pimlico is definitely a track made for a dead closer. I'm putting $5,000 across on him.

To be fair, plenty of horses have won the Preakness in recent years from well off the pace.

But don't you think the pace of the race will set up well for him? Doesn't mean he'll win, but I can't blame Pletcher if he takes a shot with this one here.

No. Pimlico has been a merry-go-round this year and I really can't see Hard Spun or Street Sense coming back to the field.

Well that's good to know. I am pretty sure that I only watch three races a year on this track (this one along with the BES and the Pim Special) so I have no idea how the track has been playing.
I just thought CQ would benefit from all the speed in the race, but if speed is holding up that well, I guess Hard Spun might be the play.

I was hoping Any Given Saturday would be entered. Although he had no shot of beating the top two in the derby, he was given no shot of placing due to Gomez moving him outside before the turn instead of waiting for the opening, which in fact occured a split second after he moved wide, on the inside. He easily could've finished third. Why Gomez decided to go wide on a track that was clearly favoring the rail is beyond me.

Would be nice to see John R. take over again.

I think you are getting some bad information there.

There were 7 routes run at Pimlico last week. One 5 to 2 shot won wire to wire. A 2 to 5 shot won from third early. The other 5 were won from the back.
