Default OFFICIAL: 'Boss', Tisch Leave Excelsior

Speculation became reality today when the Steinbrenner family announced they are withdrawing their support from Excelsior and it's NY franchise bid.. In addition, the Tisch segment is gone too...

Steve Swindall's divorce from Jen Steinbrenner not cited as cause, but... Could be that there was more than the smell of liquor in Swindall's car the night he was busted for DWI..?

To me this latest development displays what a farce this process has been. Think about it: If the legislature had acted upon the Ad Hoc Committee's recommendation before Pataki left office -- and, at one point, that was a distinct possibility -- the future of NY horse racing would now be committed to a group that would be substantially different than the one that actually received the recommendation.

...And all because of a divorce.

Yeesh.
