Coolmore and Dubai
Correct if I'm wrong, but were any of Coolmore's horses at the Dubai World Cup, or ever race in Dubai for that matter?
And if they don't race there, is it because they're abnned from running at Dubai because of the rivalry, or do they choose not to run because of the rivalry? I could see Coolmore loving nothing more than to take Dubai Stakes $$$, winning on the Sheiks' home soil. But then again, any Coolmore horse that adds to the promotion of Dubai, I'm sure the sheiks don't mind. I'm sure the $$$ that the Sheiks make by advertising "see the best horses in the world, including Coolmore's, running at Nad Al Sheeba" brings in a lot of dough. Do I make any sense?

They've only ever had one runner Powerscourt some years back.. apparantly, the Shiekh was not too impressed that year, when none of the Coolmore mafia went over, and instead sent a woman as their representative!!!
It was one of a number of things that caused the unease between the two parties! Coolmore claim that it is too early in the season for them.
