Default Sex.....

..... ooops! Forgot the rest of the title!

Sexism and Racing.

No, don't leave! this will be fun.

I have many stories about this kinda thing, but I want to know from the women here the type of behavior they've encountered at the track, the OTB, etc.

First time i ever bought the DRF a couple of years ago the guy behind the counter barked at me and had such an odor..... he looked like he was out of central casting, smelled like cat pee, and was wearing these 70's clothes.....

Police Woman was on the tv and Angie Dickinson was dressed as a prostitute and the language it was dubbed in made me feel like i was in some bad foreign film..... the part right before the joint got held up? I walked to the counter anyway.....

Took me a beat when Mr. Kitty Pee demanded to know if i wanted the Friday or Saturday DRF and since i hesitated, he picked up his phone, waved it in my face, and roared "Call boyfriend! Call boyfriend!"

Ummmm, right. Sometimes these types, and there are many at the tracks too, assume if you have breasts you automatically have NO brain.

Of course the opposite exists as well..... the people who are painfully nice to you at the track cause they think it's your first time there.

At the BC the old men behind me were laughing cause i kept talking about Pleasant Home (this was, obviously two years ago).

After she won and they could again speak, I almost felt bad when they asked why she was my pick.

I don't know why but i played along, perfecting the role of bimbo.....

"It was her turn to win."

It made them feel better anyway. They were again THEMENWHOWERESMART and i was the stupid chick, albeit the stupid chick who cashed the big ticket.

Tell me your stories.

Ditto... where is my mind? Hehe

I haven't had any issues at the track as of yet. I've been fortunate to have some pretty hot men with me when I go and they "protect" me.

My wife is a ex jockey so we used to deal with it on a daily basis,I have two beautiful girls & I hope both never go near the track it is very sexist over here as far as racing goes, trainers mainly feel women are unable to ride the horses out.
Now that my wife is now works for Queensland Racing accessing & training jockeys & Track Riders she is still dealing with it somethings never change i suppose.
