Exclamation Aqueduct...closed yet again

It will be a "mini vacation" for all the followers of NYRA racing. They will be closed today and tomorrow.
No "live" racing til Weds. The fields should be more better by then...class wise

As has been pointed out in NY Post, at least NYRA, unlike other sporting events (i.e. Major League Baseball), cancels well ahead of time so people don't go to the track and waste money parking, eating, admission, etc. only to be sent home. It is not so bad today since OTB channel in NY carries GP and Tampa.

Your right...NYRA is good with the fans in this regard, there are some out there who have nothing good to say about them.
(on "other" posting sites too!)
It's still the best racing in the country overall.

Right on. Ever since slots were given the O.K., N.Y. state government has done more to ruin NYRA than they could do by themselves. They want another Indian run casino on non-Indian land, but won't go ahead with a plan that will pour money into state coffers at Aqueduct. I hope everyone bidding on the franchise knows who thier "not so silent partners" will be. None other than the most dysfunctional state gov. in the country.
