Here is my view on it. When was the last time a #5 ranked team won their bowl and jumped all the way up to #1? More than likely never. So here is my solution to all the madness:

Use two of the bowl games as championship semifinal games. One of the games would have #1 play #4 and have #2 play #3. The winners would play the following week in the championship game. I am sure you would have some teams cry about this like a Notre Dame, who has no business being chosen over a much higher ranked Wisconsin. But I have figured out Notre Dame's formula for getting there:

1. Play Moe, Larry, and Curly as your cream puff games. Sorry I mean Army, Navy, and Air Force.

2. Have you @sses handed to you the two times you play a top ten team.

3. Have a Heisman wannabe who chokes in the big game.

4. Payoff Bullshot Championship Series committee members so that your team can go to BCS game.

It should be fun seeing that Heisman wannabe Quinn crying Mommy Mommy when the LSU defense is breathing down his @ss. Im wondering if his lungs are more louder than the screaming LSU fans? I am sure Notre Dame will be crying foul that LSU is in this game anyway. Since this is pretty much a home game for them.
