![]() My top two are interchangeable.
1) Dave Weaver - Seems like a regular guy that would be a blast to throw a couple back with and play the ponies. Main reason I got interested in Los Alamitos cause he's entertaining to listen to. Seems like a chill dude. Pretty funny too. 2) Mike Joyce - See above. 3) Frank Lyons - Has good insight and is friggin hysterical. Anyone that saw the show either last week or the week before when Julio Canani had a horse named The Big One entered knows what I'm talking about. Here's a little exerpt. Todd Shrupp "The Big One is a 1st time gelding today" Frank "The Big One has been gelded?" "Ouch" Frank "Does The Big One like to come from behind?" Todd ignores him. Frank "I bet The Big One likes to come from behind" Classic stuff. It went on for a good 5 minutes. 4) Simon Bray - Good insight. Tries to bite off Todd Shrupp's catch phrases too much. If he quit that he'd be real good. 5) Christina Olivares - Excellent interviewer. Asks the right questions rather than the ridiculous nonsense Jessica York used to. Pretty girl, knows racing, if she had an accent she'd be every guy's fantasy. |

![]() I hope to go there next year for the weiner races. I'd hope Weave is somewhat acessible to the public even just to have a beer and shoot the breeze. Good dude when some of them come across full of themselves.
Speaking of the weiner races, I've read you're a fan of them Scav. How the hell do you enter in them? Some kind of qualifier or just contact Los Al directly? I have a fast little b*stard of a dachsund. Nickname is Little Reggie Bush. I wanna enter him and dominate. I'll be easy to spot. They'll have all the little girls and everyone jumping up and down yelling "come on spot" "you can do it sparky" I'll be the dude banging my hands on the ground yelling "go the bottom of your self Little Reggie!!!" "Look that other weiner dog in the eye" Then I'll go over and chest bump Les Onaka. They'll have no clue what exactly just went on. |

![]() We're all entitled to our opinions, and it's great to have this forum to express them, so I feel no need to rank them. Just a few thoughts. I agree that Christina Oliveras is great, she's cute as hell, and brings out alot of good information in her questions. The whole Quarters Los Al crew are very entertaining, I can't place a bet on Los Al, but I still tune in. I think Les Onaka may be the best handicapper on the network, he picks alot of winners at other tracks during their broadcasts as well. Mike and Dave seem like good guys as well, they all do a great job. Frank and Simon do give good insight, having been trainers, and Frank is hillarious at times. Most of the other guys do try to be too funny at times, I don't have a real problem though with any of them. Jessica York though was absolutely horrible, both in studio and at the track fumbling through interviews. I know he can be annoying, and stale at times, but Mr. B, did give me my first ever trifecta win, so I put up with him lol.

oh man, I was cracking up last night with Dave. dude hit a $1 pick 4(total chalk but still impressive). he is so funny with some of his dry humor. for what its worth, my top 5 are: 1.Caruthers-nice man and good speed player when he is on 2.Chris K-smart man, humble, and I think he was a really good track announcer(heard him mostly on tape) 3.Christina Olvares-she is just so freaking hot 4.Nancy Yure(sp?)-knows her stuff and is hot for an older woman 5.Mr B-good handicapper, especially out west and has solid, fundemental reasons for his plays |

absolutely. funniest thing I have ever seen was about 2 weeks ago when Dave got knocked out of his late pick 4. they did a camera shot of him lying down next to a coffin or something. so mike joyce says something like "welcome to dead guy television". maybe you just had to be there but I could not stop laughing.
