The 4th place finisher in this race (nice rails!) was an American bred son of Elusive Quality who was a $175,000 weanling at auction.
Kazakhstan has won six gold medals at the olympics so far --- the majority of them in weightlifting events.
The Kazak weightlifters have credited horse meat as the secret to success.
Quote:
Kazakhstan Olympic champion Ilya Ilyin says eating horse meat is the key to success in weightlifting.
The 24-year-old set two new world records on his way to a second successive Olympic title on Friday and then advocated a diet of chicken -- and horse.
"I do beleive food plays an important role in preparation for the Olympics or any competition," said Ilyin.
"Of course you have to be careful and know what you're eating. I try not to eat anything that is too fat or sweet. My favourite food is chicken and horse meat. I would consider them ideal food because they are very easy to digest.
"You don't waste any personal energy and you don't have to digest difficult things like lamb or pork.
"Chicken and horse meat are the best foods for weightlifters and good food is important."

Elusive Quality sired a Ky Derby winner (Smarty Jones) a BC Classic winner (Raven's Pass) but he couldn't get the big one in Kazak and now his son might end up getting washed down with a protein shake in Borat's homeland.
