Default Delmar Pick4

I promise that I will never complain about Russell Baze ever again....I almost pissed my pants when they hit the line together in race #9.

Great value for the pick 4 on a $27 punch

07/25/2010 7:34pm Del Mar 6 $0.50 p4 3,5,8 With 5,7,8 With 1,6 With 3,6,7 27.00 1002.95

How did you come up with that 5 in the second leg? Was it trainer angle or did you think he would be lone speed?

I went way too deep in that turf stake.

The second leg....trainer/lonespeed plus getting 5 lbs from the field and even the lone 3yr old (Morning line 2nd choice) was giving weight to him and I just thought he would be brave enough to hang around at the finish.

I am not going to lie, I really thought El scorpio would go off around 9-2 but 12-1 was a classic overlay when social meetings like Delmar and Saratoga are running because the fancy crowds bet jockey's and favorites.

I also went deep in the stake race. I had a case for pretty much every horse in the race including Weekend Magic who finished a good third. Kwon Myung Cho doesnt win much but he brings his A game at Del Mar. He had a 45-1 FTS win yesterday. I remember he had a horse called Street Hero a few years ago that had a monster closing kick. I also remember Nationalore - the richest maiden ever.

Wow, I remember National Lore. When he ever hit the board in So Cal. he would make the tri's and super pay pretty big if memory serves me correct he was a dead closer always going off at 25-1 or more.

Since when does Del Mar offer 50 cent pick 4's?
Is that new this year?

I haven't played Del Mar yet this summer, so that's a surprise to me.

Oh yea, that's one of their biggest marketing tools at Delmar this year. I am waiting for the pick 6 go to a $1 based wager and I think it's only a matter of time smaller tracks will go the 50 cent pick 6 to get more wagers into the pools.
