There is no logic for putting Tiago at 20-1 and Colonel John at 33-1. Tiago doesn't want to run anymore.

They must have some earlier liability into Tiago or something.

I realize his trainer is incredible at pointing horses to fire their best on the biggest day .. but Tiago really should be 200/1.

4/5 on a horse that isn't coming? Does he know something that we don't?

Also 1/1 on Zensational is absolutely ridiculous.

"BC Classic: 4-5 Sea The Stars, 9-4 Rip Van Winkle, 5-1 Zenyatta, 7-1 Summer Bird,10-1 Mastercraftsman, 14-1 Gio Ponti, Gitano Hernando, Quality Road, Richards Kid,16-1 Rail Trip, 20-1 Bullsbay, Einstein, Mine That Bird, Tiago, 25-1 Macho Again, 33-1 Colonel John "

World Sports Exchange (wsex.com) has Sea The Stars at 3-1 and Rip Van Winkle at 5-2. The rest are worse than the William Hill odds. WSEX's future odds are seldom competitive with TheGreek, Pinnacle or 5Dimes.

They will shorten one up very quickly if there is money for it, but when they should take a horse off their list, they take their time

This is true for a lot of books. Some are horrible. A few years ago CRIS left a dead horse on its Ky Derby futures for weeks after the mishap. (giving new meaning to "beating a dead horse") On the other hand, TheGreek has historically been very good about taking down injured horses. A couple of times I've learned of a horse's injury only after noticing that TheGreek had taken down the horse's odds.

TheGreek.com now has odds up for most of the races. Here's what they have for the Classic:

3101 Rip Van Winkle +245
3102 Zenyatta +625
3103 Summer Bird +805
3104 Mastercraftsman +1015
3105 Quality Road +1415
3106 Gio Ponti +1415
3109 Richards Kid +2050
3111 Einstein +1215
3113 Mine That Bird +2550
3114 Macho Again
3115 Colonel John +2250
3116 Tiago +2550
3117 Well Armed +2550
3118 Bullsbay +3550

"+245" is 2.45 to 1, etc.

Already bet Colonel John at 22.5 to 1 yesterday. He'll be half that or better in the gate.

I wouldn't mind him in the turf Mile. No thanks in the Classic, at almost any price.
