Default VT vs Crimson Tide

Should be a great game to kick off the CFB season on Saturday night.

Darren, is McElroy ready for Bud Fosters defense?

Jones and Ingram might not play.

We'll just have to wait and see. I will be real pissed if they lose to those b.itches. And lets face it, VT are a bunch of dog killing whores.

Open letter to the Rays:

Your trade of Kazmir, your best pitcher against the Red Sox over the last few years, before two critical series with the Red Sox, was telling.

The cherry on top was starting Sonnanstine (picture Greg Maddux without the pinpoint control) in Kazmir's slot last night, fresh off his stint in AAA where he had a 5+ ERA. He turned in a stellar 4 inning effort . Then you go out and commit three errors in your "biggest game of the year", including a flat out drop of a fly ball by Carl Crawford.

Thanks for making it easy for me to turn off your telecasts and move on to football starting Thursday night. You have given up so I will give up too. See you in '10.

Truth be told CP, I'd love to see McElroy pick them apart and Bama tap that ass. Nothing better than seeing a bunch of long faces around this city the day after a VT loss.

Well my opinion is Bama 24 VT 6

I think Bama's defense will dominate and be responsible for 10-14 points.

They claim 17K+, but there is no way there were that many there. Smallest crowd for a Red Sox game in more than two years. Hope they got the message loud and clear.

They play baseball in the south and football season is one day away. They trade one of their top 3 starters away to save money in the future while they are in the midst of fighting for their wild card lives. The attendance will get lower as their games behind rises and the month progresses.

Its so funny for me to go back home (Hampton/Newport News) and see Tech stuff everywhere on cars, flags flying in front of houses, etc... 12-13 years ago you would have never known that anyone from that area even went to VT.

the Bama story will be all about offensive line play. IF GMc gets time lookout. he could be the surprise QB in the SEC this year. he'll have horses to hand the ball to, again IF they have holes to run through.
the defense may actually be better than last year and should keep Bama in games.
i look for the VT game to be close and low scoring.
IF the Bama OL gets control of the VT defense, it could be a blow out and Bama headed for another big year.
i look for the Bama OL to be inconsistant and they finish 8-3, losses to VT, Ole Miss, LSU.

Thumbs up

What a beautiful morning here in the Roanoke Valley!! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping. I believe I even detected the faint aroma of defeat in the air this morning. Ah yes...tis a great day to be a Hokie Hater.
I will be proudly sporting my UNC hat today since we properly disposed of that mighty football powerhouse known as The Citadel yesterday!!
