Default Hurdles @ Saratoga

This is a new one on me. How does this affect the course for the "real" races?

The jumpers go around the dogs and use the far outside of the course. They also chew up the course less becuase they are galloping at a far slower rate. Sprints hurt the grass alot more than jumpers.

They've been jumping at SAR for oh, 100 years or so. It really doesn't affect the course.

I'm a late sleeper . When I get up I focus on the races I'm going to bet, I guess I have somehow never bothered watching one of these, or if it was on I just glanced up and assumed it was Newmarket or something.
