Default Times up!! Who is your Derby pick

Well post positons are drawn, we have listen to everyone's opinions and reasons why, barring any last minute injury or sickness we know who is going to go. Now imho i think it comes down to the top 6-7 horses and we all know who they are, if any other horse wins it will be because of sheer racing luck, period. So my top pick and horses i will use underneath.

16) POTN

6) Friesan Fire

11) Chocolate Candy

12) General Quarters

good-luck

I was thinking of a three-year parlay of Seattle Slew to Affirmed to Spectacular Bid. I wonder how much it will pay?

Jerry Hollendorfer is from my home town for all intents and purposes, and his home track is here in my back yard.

Darn right Chocolate Candy will be a sentimental fave for me.

That said, I'm really sort of surprised how much support he's getting here for hitting the board.

I'll likely have him in a couple combos, but I truly think he's gonna have to have an amazingly good trip and a bunch of other horses have an amazingly poor trip for Hollendorfer to get a nice Derby finish this time.

I don't like the fact that Smith is on Chocolate Candy for the first time.

I like less that he's had a heavy dose of 6 and 7 horse fields he's been competing against in his last five races. If a horse could say "WTF??", I think that's what he might be saying when the gates open with 20 on Saturday.

Trainer be damned, I Want Revenge. Boxed with POTN in the exacta and both wheeled over Choclate Candy, Musket Man and Desert Party a few ways. All of the above in the Derby Double.

i'm somewhat surprised anyone is naming 'hold me back'. mott, from what i read after his win in his 3 yo bow, doesn't like his horses chance at all on dirt. he said to look at his remsen 'run'-that the horse didn't have a straw in his path, but still ran poorly. he then mentioned his successes on poly...
