Default Blast from the past - Who was your Derby horse?

I'm still pretty new here and so was just wondering.....

Mine was Deputy Glitters.

Who were you wild about the first Friday in May?

Good question!

I used two horses on top in really large trifectas, Sweetnorthernsaint and Jazil.

Oh well, I lost but the way Barbaro won it took some of the sting out of it because I really liked him and if I had to get beat I was sorta glad it was by him.

Barbaro....honestly....posted a week before the race that he would win if he ran his race.

That damn horse that won the Haskell today cost me about $8-$10K in trifecta bets as I had barbaro keyed over both Jazil and Steppenwolfer

Barbaro to win. Seeing him work, you would have had to have been crazy to think the horse wouldn't get a piece of it.

Bluegrass Cat screwed up the whole thing for me. I had Steppenwolfer to finish 2nd... and I figured AP Warrior would be in the mix as well. WRONG on that. LOL

I made bets on:

Sharp Humor
Deputy Glitters
Keyed Entry (yeah, I'm embarassed by that one)

But Sharp Humor was the one I really liked. Still do.

If I remember what I wrote correctly, I had Lawyer Ron as my top choice, then SNS and then Barbaro. Oops.

ON fri I was on BCat and Barbaro. The more I capped I dropped Barbaro and used Sweetnorthern saint by post time. My future was Bcat I made it in the first future thinking I would never se the 12/1 again and coulda got better at post time. Proves that betting the race and not the capping is the important thing.

My two were Sweetnorthernsaint and Steppenwolfer. It was so wide open though that I really had no idea. The TC race that I was the most sure of was the Belmont.
After the Arkansas Derby I said....Steppenwolfer is definitely going to win the Belmont. I was confident he would from that moment until they reached the far turn in the race. I still don't understand why he didn't get up in that race. Oh well.

Had too many bets as usual, but the keys were SNS and Barbaro. Had Point Determined keyed on the backside, but not on top.

Mine was Steppenwolfer to run 2nd or 3rd in trifectas. I stated that 3 weeks before the Derby until Derby post time and very thankfully he ran 3rd in that 11,500 trifecta!!!!

It was Brother Derek, but it changed to Barbaro 2 minutes later. BD just had another breeze the other day and they mentioned he might run before Del Mar closes.

I was definitely on Barbaro. I can't remember who my pick was for the Oaks, but I know it sure was not Lemons Forever!
