![]() 4 horses were banned today in the gold medal round for steroids and other substances....drug testing is done on site and results are immediate and riders can't ride in final for medals. UNBELIEVABLE...here in the States we have to wait weeks or months for results and in Hong Kong they have a lab on site where they get immediate results and don't let horses/equestrian riders perform and compete.
They are now talking of taking away medals from Norway riders whose horses were subsequently found positive. Some of the meds were for the horses coat to slide smoother over the equestrian rails and reduce the number of fouls. Most were for steroids...early reports were Norwegian and Germany were the culprits! Maybe taking their previously won medals away if they used the same horses.

![]() I didn't see anything about steroids - have a reference? What is in the article is that four horses tested positive for capsaicin.
