Saratoga Condition book is out

The Saratoga condition book is out. The longest older horse race is an overnight stakes at one mile and three sixteenths on 8/9.
We were hoping to run Evening Attire in Saratoga this year but if I have my way we will run in Philadelphia and then Delaware and not Saratoga. I cannot believe that they can’t write a 10F older horse race for the Saratoga meet.

I understand. With the "marathon" in the BC this year I think the Spa is missing the boat here. Evening Attire not at the Spa is a bummer.

There's a $100K stakes race at 9.5F on August 9. With the dearth of handicap horses, wouldn't EA fit well there? Isn't that the same distance of the Queens County?

Hopefully, full fields for all the races. That's what made last year's meet so enjoyable. With big purses and and a condition coming up once or twice a book, everyone had to run, and the Pletchers and Frankels couldn't sit in the barn and wait for a spot to come up where their horse was odds-on. Having full fields in the two-turn races last year was particularly encouraging.

I wonder what impact the issues at Calder and Churchill will have on the meet, particularly given the size of the purses here.

Its actually 9.75f's for Evening Attire he spots the field a 1/16 before he gets a movin. Maybe a career as a pacer is in order ths way he gets into full stride as the race begins..lol..Love watching this horse finish races he looks like there is nothing in the world that matters other then getting to the wire. He really is a cool horse.

Pletcher, who is he, does he train anymore?

The Calder purses are absolutely terrible and the CD's aren't much either. Both states better get there she'at together or PID will become the Mecca of racing..And we all know what that means

Seriously evidentually Pletcher will be Pletcher again just in the form of a Mott. Great trainer who always will be great just not dominating every dam stake.
