Default Alfredo Callejas, 72, Passes Away

Long associated with owner Robert Perez.. Trained many very good horses including Cupecoy's Joy and the wondefully game Mil Kilates. Son Bernardo has carried on string since his dad retired a few years ago. Sympathies go out...

That's a shame... even though they were usually seriously overmatched, I miss seeing those Perez/Cellejas entries...

Im glad to see someone else remembers Mil Kilates...

I think his son works for Jerkens. Doesn't Juan Ortiz train the Perez horses?

On topic.....RIP. He was a fixture in NY for a long time.
