what happened? i just caught the last part on tvg where the rushed somebody off on a stretcher before the horses came down the stretch? i couldn't hear anything so if anybody could shed some light....

G. Almeida was tossed from his horse at the start of the race. As the horses went into the first turn and down the backstretch, they put him on a stretcher and moved him out of the way, as the horses had to go by there to get to the finish line.

didn't see any reports afterward as to his condition.. hope he's ok.
