I believe that I'll be at GP for the Sunshine Millions as well. I hope to meet some of you all down there...

horse shows and riding for me until after my last show in February. I had to take two weeks off for aggravating my herniated disc in my back. I rode for the first time on Saturday and it was wonderful!

I hope to meet some of you though at Fla Derby.

Looks like GPK might be joining me too!

We're going to Tampa Bay Downs on the 26th (anyone going to be there?) and then down to GP for Saturday.

I might be there... the appeal of leaving MN in our butt-ass'd cold winter sounds really appealing. I have Fri-Sat-Sun off, so it would definately be a fun one. It'll be a last-minute booking if I decide to go, so I'll let y'all know when the time comes.

I got f'n smoked at Keeneland this past weekend, but that place is as beautiful as I remembered it, so no regrets. It would be interesting to see how the "new" Gulfstream looks as well... hopefully the addition of some winners as well hehe. Lata

I'm still trying to figure out what it is you're talking about.

"Gulftream Tirp"?

whatever it is, sounds like it's going to be quite a blast.

Sorry right hand is quicker than the left. Gonna have a group then. I'll post more details as we get closer. Just hope we have some hot, sunny weather.

What's the closest airport to Gulfstream?

How difficult is it to get around the area without any contacts or a car, etc?

I've been waiting for an excuse to get to Gulfstream....

At least you had an excuse...

I'm not much of a capper, but I had a great time with all of you as well. It's awesome meeting people who enjoy horse racing as much as I do.

[quote=Buffymommy]So did you all have a great time?[/QUOTE

we had a great time and geat meeting Lori, Jamie, Bruce and Brian (Antitrust, Canjungator, Sent to Stud and BrianSpencer). I've met many DT'ers and still have not come across one I didn't like. Not sure whether it was more fun going out for dinner and after party at Lori's or the track.

We'll be either making a repeat trip to GP or to FG's and I'd like to meet new DT'ers or meet the ones I already have again. We'll be out in force first w/e of Saratoga as well.

Of course a huge thank-you again to Steve Byk for getting this snow ball rolling and it's always awesome to see him 'the hardest working man in horse racing.'

Oh and lastly thanks to Michael Matz for sending the bomb home on Sat. and grooms who leave a little shampoo on. (you had to be there to understand) LOL

I second that on Steve Byk. I was honored to finally meet him in person and I think I'm still in shock over meeting Nick Zito and Sweetnorthernsaint. Thank you again, Steve for all that you do. I had a wonderful weekend.

No comments on the "shampoo." Let's hope I learned my lesson! LOL

Wow, what a weekend. These were the first DT'ers I've met, and they set the bar pretty high. It was a great weekend of capping, racing (well, most of it great, missed bets (lori's for being drunk on mccann's mojave, mine for being broke on summer book) and lots of good talk.

Off the top of my head, highlights include:
1.) Finally putting faces with all the names (Kasept, Dellinger, Cajun, AntiTrust, SenttoStud)
2.) Steve being able to introduce us to Zito and Sweetnorthernsaint
3.) The seemingly endless supply of beer that comes from the Chicago guys
4.) Dinner after the Millions card in Lori's hood
5.) Being able to know that it was 8 degress here while I was having a beer and a cigaratte on the beach.

It was the best weekend in a long time...and Saratoga looks more tempting by the hour!

Thanks for everything to those who went!
