Default Everyone welcome Nicanor-Barbaros little brother

I didnt see a thread about this so I decided everyone would like to see it. Barbaro full brother is named Nicanor, after another hound in the picture that Barbaro was named for.

How do you pronounce the name? Sounds like something from Lord of the Rings but Barbaro kind of does too for that matter.

Isn't a second full sibling to Barbaro due in 2007? If so, has it been born yet?

For some reason I want to say that she was bred to someone else. And that she will be bred back to to Dynaformer. But I could be having a brain cramp too. I would think she would be concidering what Bobby was doing this time last year but I am not sure.

No she's due to produce a full brother in April and be bred back. There was an article on the newly named Nicanor awhile back and they talked about it. You know what that timing means--during Derby or Preakness coverage we might get to see him on one of the foal patrol segments! I love that they can find out gender. I bet they're hoping to get a filly the next time. We all know how good Dynaformer mares are to have. They would probably not be trying to stand these colts but a filly they'd get to keep and breed on as part of their organization.

Hmm... not necessarily. There are more than a few 'Nicanor's' in history. While this may be presumptuous of me, I would think that Nicanor, one of the seven deacons, would be more accurate.
