Default 8th Santa Anita

There are two first-time starters in here that worked well at the sales. Both of these horses have a lot of speed. The horses are Glittering Starlet and Lady Bean. I'm actually a little bit surprised that either of these horses are running in a Maiden $32,000 claiming race. In terms of abiltiy, both of these horses could win at higher levels. That makes me think that neither horse is very sound. They paid $65,000 for Lady Bean. They paid $42,000 for Glittering Starlet.

Anyway, I have no idea how either of these horses are doing right now. But I can tell you that if either of these horses runs close to their ability, either one of them would win most Maiden $32,000 claiming races rather easily.

That horse that just won, Hotitude, took all sorts of funny money. Somebody knew something. Matt Garcia doesnt win many. Anytime hes on a horse that takes action bet him. Hes like the Chantal Sutherland of the west.

Well, they both showed speed. They were running 1,2 turning into the stretch but they both quit pretty bad. I didn't think anyone would catch Glittering Starlet when she had the 3 length lead.

I didn't have any info on the winner. She didn't come out of a 2 year old sale. She did show some pretty fast works in the Form. She had a :34 2/5 bullet from the gate. she also had a couple of :59 and change works.

Lady Bean won today. I sure wish she would have won in her debut two weeks ago. I bet about 7x more on her that day. That is not very good money management.
