Default Saratoga Area Dining

Sitting here 15 minutes from the greatest racetrack in America and looking at ice everywhere and was wondering what restaurants you guys/gals prefer when in Saratoga?

I really like the Ripe Tomato and Longfellows.

Any other thoughts?

Some are much safer with them off.

I know it is on th expensive side but I like 43 Phila Street and also Doc's Steakhouse.

Although last year when I went to Saratoga we didn't go out to eat as we stayed at my sister in laws house in Delmar, NY. On the + side it left more money for wagering. Until that Rat Bast**D cop stopped me for speeding just north of the "twins."

Hopefully I can avoid the man this year and wager some of the savings.

Tiznows is pretty good too.

I hate mashed potatoes but theirs were really good and the steak was perfectly cut and prepared.

Gander, his wife and myself ate at a really good place last summer. Have to ask him the name of it though.

I did enjoy The Wine Bar dowtown...didn't eat there...just a few drinks.

Hmph...

My dining in Saratoga is...

Well, there's the food court at the mall.
Ate at the new Moe's twice last year.
The year before, we ate at Panera Bread a couple of times.
Did a huge picnic with my kids and grandkids out of a couple ice chests last year, too.

I do like to go to get take out from food bar at the "Four Seasons" across from Ben and Jerry's and eat in the park, too.

Sperry's is an amazing resteraunt and so is the OBI (Olde Bryan Inn), and of course, the Wishing Well.

Only go to these places if you want to devote time and money into it. The OBI is my personal favorite... its awesome.

There are three good places to eat in Saratoga....Chez Sophie, Lanci's and the Beekman Street Bistro.

And, of course, Beverly's for breakfast.....but who has time for breakfast.
